History
Ilmfinity founded
In 2011, Ilmfinity was founded by then college student Ebrahim Behbahani. The mobile app market was lacking quality games at the time, and Ebrahim felt that he could create a mobile game inspired by games from his childhood with help from his siblings, Kazem and Shahrezad.
EvoCreo
Work for EvoCreo began in 2012 after prototypes had been developed for Android. Ilmfinity ran 2 successful Kickstarter campaigns to help fund the development of the project but ultimately needed the help of a publisher to cross the finish line. The company partnered with ZigZaGames to help complete the project's development. The entire process took much longer than anticipated, but after 3 years, EvoCreo launched on both Android and iOS in the summer of 2015 and has frequently been in the top charts for role-playing games.
TapCreo
After EvoCreo 1 was complete, the team grew in size to bring on Shaan Amin as a developer. The team moved to the Unity engine and created an FTP idle clicker in the EvoCreo universe called TapCreo. Unfortunately, the game was a financial failure, and the team disbanded shortly after the game's launch.
Hiatus
After TapCreo, the team took some time off to work on other projects. After 2 years had passed, the team still had stories they wanted to tell in the EvoCreo universe, and in 2019, they began to focus on EvoCreo 2.
EvoCreo 2
Planning for EvoCreo 2 began in late 2018 with the rough idea of the project scope. Ebrahim began working full-time on the project in 2019 with the other members, including contractors, working part-time. Initially the project was planned to be completed in 2022 but was delayed several times due to the initial ambitious scope of the game. The team finally released the mobile versions of the game in March 2025, reaching the top paid charts in the first month. The team plans to continue supporting the game with DLC and adding multiplayer support, along with a Steam release later this year.
